Library
Welcome to ASM’s Library!
Located on the first floor, above the school’s main reception area, The American School of Marrakesh Carolyn L. McPhillips Library offers a stimulating, welcoming and supportive environment that offers students and teachers a quiet place to read, study, research, create, collaborate and complete learning assignments and homework. WiFi connection is also available throughout.
Our library’s mission is to foster a passion for reading, research and investigation, ensuring that students graduate as globally competent, ethical users of information technologies with strong intellectual curiosity and a life-long love of reading, independent thinking and learning.
As librarians, we endeavor to accomplish this mission and meet the diverse and intricate needs of all by acting as:
-
-
- Curators of information
- Caretakers of content and people
- Catalysts of people and services
- Connectors to sources of information, multiliteracies, and reading
- Co-creators of information with the school and the wider communityÌý
- Challengers for learners to seek appropriate information, to use sound methods of inquiry and research, and teaching them to question the information they find and useÌý
-
